A new format.
I have found a new method to staying alert all day at work, especially when I need to go in early, like I have all week. Before I would eat my breakfast and have a coffee to start my day off. Now I eat my breakfast with a very large cup of orange juice, do lunch as usual, and then at 2pm I have my coffee. It has worked quite well for me this week.

Miami City Commission approves Miami World Center →
This project, Miami World Center, is somewhat similar to what they have done and continue to do at Miami Midtown, except this one will actually be downtown. It is one of countries largest urban renewal projects. I am supportive of projects like this one compared to the City Commission’s approval of projects beyond the Urban Development Boundary that encroach on the Everglades. Not just...
Bike Miami seems like it could be a regular event →
This past months Bike Miami was very successful. They closed some of the streets in Downtown Miami to pedestrians and bicyclist only on a Sunday for about 8 hours. There is going to be another Bike Miami day on December 14th. Hopefully it will become a monthly event. This gives me hope for Miami. I really want to go, however, it’s the week after my surgery. Let’s see how well I...

Marlin Chapman, the benefits director at Nissan, says the high-deductible plans are “aimed at getting people to focus on their health.” “When you are spending your own money,” Mr. Chapman said, “you are more careful in the way you spend it.” Betsy Talton, a Delta Airlines spokeswoman, offered this reason, in part, for her company’s making high-deductible plans the...
Surgery Scheduled
After waiting for more than four hours yesterday in a small white room, thank god my sister was with me, I finally saw the Orthopedic Oncologist. Sounds important doesn’t it, well it apparently is and she is very busy. However, the small amount of time she did spend with me was attentive. She even looked at me directly when she was talking to me. A lot of doctors do not seem to do...
Waiting
I have been waiting to see the doctor about my knee for three hours. Just sitting here. Waiting.

Art vs. The City →
“Every day, your local talent is leaving the city,…. A city without art is a city without a soul.” - Juan Alvarez, a local artist in Miami Beach.
Anyone who has regularly been to Lincoln Road on Miami Beach will recall the crazy guy on skates that used to perform almost everyday. Well, about a year or so ago they tightened the restrictions on street performers, artist, and vendors on...

The real life figures that were used to base the characters of Santos and Josh on The West Wing, are going to hold the same positions as the characters they inspired.

Free Starbucks coffee tastes like armpits. :(
Their Pike’s Place Roast is horrible. They are trying to complete with the awful tasting McDonald’s & Dunkin Donuts “regular” coffee. If I get the brewed coffee I always ask if them for anything but the Pike’s Place stuff.
What did liberals do that was so offensive to the Republican Party? I’ll tell...

Ben Affleck as Keith Olbermann. Brilliant!
This is fantastically hilarious and spot on.
